Since reloading firmware is so easy and the process is already well documented, it would be nice to be able to reset completely back to the factory image including the “self test suite”. This can then be used as a “Diagnostics Suite” when a sensor or something is not working. The test suite appears to cover everything except the Wifi functions. I have been able to reimage to the factory firmware but there does not appear to be any of the factory code for initial testing.
After putting on the Micropython firmware, goto to xrpcode.wpi.edu when you connect the XRP xrpcode will notice that those files are missing and ask to update the libraries. That will include the XRPExamples that has the diagnosis program called installation_verification.py.
Fantastic ! I knew there had to be a way to do this. THANK YOU. Now I can be sure if the issue is hardware or programming. As a retired mainframe tech I love to say “It’s software”.
