Has anyone added limit switches to their XRP?
I’d like to have a demonstration robot that is easy to operate by people passing by a booth at and outreach event. It is hard to explain to people which button on the XRP Controller Board to press to get it to run the program.
I was thinking about adding something like the arcade buttons available from SparkFun (Concave Button - Blue - COM-09337 - SparkFun Electronics). They use limit switches to send signals back to the electronics. With something like this mounted on a 3D printed shelf would make it much easier for folks walking by to hit the right button. Plus have you ever seen a young kid pass a button like this and not try to press it?
I just finished the XRP Fortune Teller code. I haven’t tested it in the wild. We’re thinking about using it at a crafts fair for a mystery box style item.
If anyone has used limit switches on XRP or other robot platforms, let me know how it went. Thanks.
