# So I was following a setup video on youtube

I’m new to this programming thing so i was following a setup guide for my xrp on youtube and managed to get this the xwpwiblib firmware onto my robot but it wont let me connect via bluetooth or cable o the xrpcode.wip.edu website. I guess i might need the old firmware?

Yes, There are a number of setup guides. Not sure which one you were following, that would be good for us to know. You are correct, you want to have the micropython firmware on your XRP in order to use [xrpcode.wpi.edu](http://xrpcode.wpi.edu) which is the best place to start. The xrpwpilib firmware is more specific to the programming that a FIRST Robotics Team would use.
To reload the micropython you can go to this site, scroll to the bottom and pick the one for the board you have. [https://micropython.org/download/?vendor=SparkFun](https://micropython.org/download/?vendor=SparkFun) Follow the instructions on how to load the correct uf2 file. Then XRPCode should be able to attach to your XRP. I would start with a usb cable attached for all the updates.
